Desert Group is committed to delivering landscape, horticultural, construction, and consulting services in a manner that is environmentally responsible, socially beneficial, and economically resilient.

We recognise sustainability not as a separate discipline, but as an integrated approach that enhances project performance, reduces risk, improves long-term value, and supports the wellbeing of people and ecosystems.

This policy establishes Desert Group’s commitment to embedding sustainability principles across design, procurement, construction, operations, and stewardship.

Desert Group’s sustainability approach is guided by the following principles:
Compliance First: Meet or exceed all applicable local laws, regulations, and client sustainability requirements.

Practical Implementation:
Prioritise solutions that are buildable, measurable, and operationally viable.

Integrated Design:
Align sustainability outcomes with landscape, engineering, and architectural systems.

Resource Efficiency:
Reduce water, energy, material use, and waste wherever feasible. Environmental Stewardship: Protect and enhance soil health, biodiversity, and ecological function. Human Wellbeing: Create landscapes that improve thermal comfort, health, and quality of life. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and improve sustainability performance and practices.

3. Scope of Application 

This policy applies to:
All Desert Group subsidiaries and business units
All projects delivered by Desert Group (design, build, supply, consulting)
All employees, subcontractors, and suppliers engaged on behalf of Desert Group

Desert Group commits to: 
Responsible water management, including conservation, reuse, and efficient irrigation systems Soil protection and regeneration through appropriate planting, mulching, and landscape practices Selection of climate-appropriate, resilient, and regionally suitable plant species
