Desert Group proudly participated as a sponsor at the MyPlant & Garden Middle East, a dedicated platform for the landscaping, horticulture, and green infrastructure industry. The three-day exhibition brought together developers, consultants, government representatives, and industry professionals from across the region.
For Desert Group, the exhibition was an opportunity to showcase how its integrated divisions work together to support the UAE’s growing demand for sustainable, well-planned, and professionally maintained green spaces.
A Unified Stand Built on Collaboration
The Desert Group stand brought together multiple divisions in one unified space, mirroring how the Group operates on real projects through coordination across its specialist teams.
- desert INK: prepared the design and detailed renders for the MyPlant & Garden Expo stand, ensuring a cohesive and visually engaging layout.
- House Of Timber: Constructed the entire stand using recycled pallet wood, creating a sustainable, reusable structure that reflected Desert Group’s commitment to responsible design.
- Wahat Al Sahraa Nursery: Supplied a diverse selection of high-quality plants and trees directly from their nursery, forming the foundation of the stand’s landscape display.
- Plantscapes: the interior areas that were curated with plant styling and maintained by their team enhanced the overall visitor experience.
- Desert Energy: Showcased its specialized range of horticultural products — including fertilizers, growth regulators, and soil solutions — designed for optimal plant health in the region’s climate.
From Design to Build: Showcasing Integrated Expertise
desert INK, an award-winning landscape architecture studio known for bold, context-driven and sustainable design, shaped the creative foundation of the stand by developing the full concept and detailed renders. Their approach ensured a cohesive flow and a clear landscape-led identity, aligning every material and spatial choice with Desert Group’s sustainability goals while demonstrating how thoughtful design can elevate both indoor and outdoor environments.
House of Timber, Desert Group’s in-house carpentry division, specializes in custom woodwork for schools, homes, community spaces, and more. For the MyPlant & Garden Expo, the team built the entire stand using repurposed pallet wood, creating a structure designed to be dismantled and reused after the exhibition. This approach demonstrated how sustainability can be applied in a practical, design-led way without compromising on quality or visual appeal.
Wahat Al Sahraa showcased its extensive nursery operations, large-scale tree production, and contract growing services, demonstrating its ability to grow and supply project-specific plant requirements at scale. A key highlight was the session by William Slabbert, who shared insights on contract growing and how tailored production ensures consistent plant quality, readiness for projects, and long-term landscape success.
Plantscapes showcased a range of indoor plant solutions, including living green walls, preserved moss walls, and interior plant styling. The display highlighted how indoor greenery can enhance visual appeal, improve the working environment, and support wellness-focused design.
Discussions during the exhibition also focused on the importance of professional maintenance in ensuring long-term plant health, an area where Plantscapes continues to support clients across the UAE through structured Annual Maintenance Programs.
Desert Energy presented its range of horticultural products designed to support plant health and performance in the region’s challenging climate. The display included soil conditioners, plant-specific fertilizers, growth regulators, and herbicides used across landscaping and agricultural applications.
The products highlighted how proper soil preparation and targeted nutrition play a critical role in the long-term success of any landscape project.
