One chain of responsibility
Irrigation is usually split across five parties. We hold all five.
On most projects the designer, the BIM consultant, the installing subcontractor, the maintenance provider and the materials supplier are separate companies, and every handover between them thins out design intent. Desert Group carries the system from first calculation to spare part.
Design
Hydraulics, zoning, pump rooms and control philosophy resolved before a layout is drawn.
Irrigation BIM
Revit modelling, clash detection and quantities taken from the model itself.
Contracting
Installation, connection, pressure testing and documented commissioning.

Landscape irrigation is the largest single water consumer on most developments in this region. The decisions that set consumption for the next twenty years are made in the first two weeks of design.
Three irrigation disciplines, engineered separately
Landscape, sports turf and golf are not the same system at different sizes. They differ in what the water has to achieve and how evenly it has to arrive. Desert Group has specialist divisions working on all three across the region. What those teams have to keep running informs what we design.
Landscape irrigation
Driven by the planting palette. A mixed landscape holds species with water demands that differ by an order of magnitude, and the system succeeds or fails on whether those demands were separated into honest hydrozones at design stage.
Sports turf irrigation
Judged on uniformity. A pitch that receives uneven water produces uneven surface hardness, uneven grass cover and an inconsistent playing surface, which is a performance problem before it is an agronomic one.
Golf irrigation
The largest and most instrumented systems we build. Hundreds of individually controlled heads, a pumping station sized to a narrow night window, and a central control platform making agronomic decisions every evening.

The environments we keep alive
Irrigation is the one system every landscape depends on and almost nobody sees. It runs under fairways, pitches, streetscapes and resort grounds, and the surface above only performs as well as the network below. Each environment asks something different of that network.
A stadium pitch is judged on uniformity. A master community is judged on what it costs to run. A championship course is judged on both, every night, inside a narrow watering window. Behind all of them sits the same chain of pumps, filters and emitters, sized for the job it has to do.

Common Questions
Frequently asked
Can you be appointed for design only, or supply only?
Yes. Each of the five capabilities can be appointed independently. A consultant might take the design and BIM package alone. A contractor might take installation against a design already issued. A trader might take supply only.
Do you work with treated sewage effluent and mixed water sources?
Yes, and it changes the design. TSE affects filtration sizing, emitter selection, flushing frequency and material compatibility. Some sites draw from more than one source, or switch between them seasonally. The network and control strategy are designed around that from the start.
Do you offer annual maintenance contracts?
We work both ways. Annual maintenance contracts give continuous cover with scheduled servicing, seasonal controller adjustment, audits and defined response arrangements. Project-based maintenance covers a defined scope with a start and an end. That might be an efficiency audit, a retrofit, or remedial work on an underperforming system.
Can you support our materials submittals to the consultant?
That is a routine part of what we do. We provide technical datasheets, compliance certificates, equivalence justifications and supporting calculations in submittal-ready form. Where it helps clear an approval faster, we will respond to consultant comments directly.
Will you take on a system someone else designed or installed?
Yes. Before pricing installation or maintenance on an inherited system, we run our own hydraulic review and condition assessment. We then set out what we can stand behind, what needs correcting first, and what it will cost.
