In August 2026, Desert Group marked its Onam celebration across its offices and staff accommodation sites in the UAE. Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala, celebrates the homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali and is a time for family, food and coming together. Our teams brought that same spirit to work, with colleagues from every division and background joining in.

The day was full of traditional games and friendly competition, with teams cheering each other on from start to finish. It ended the way every Onam should, with everyone sitting down together to a festive sadya, shared side by side. For many, it was also a chance to spend time with colleagues from other departments and sites they rarely see during a busy working week.

With more than 5,000 people across our multiple divisions, Desert Group is a community as much as a company. Moments like Onam remind us that the people behind every project are what make the work possible. We are grateful to everyone who helped plan, played and celebrated, and we look forward to many more occasions like this together. Want to be part of the team? Explore careers at Desert Group.
